Our little red hens spend all day outside in the sunshine, scratching in the fields looking for tasty things to eat. We put their house on wheels so we can move it around so they always have fresh pasture to explore. They go inside only at night to sleep and to lay their eggs. They lay the most lovely brown eggs with deep yellow yolks that we hand gather every morning. Since our girls are out in the fresh air and clean pasture they stay healthy and vibrant. We never give them antibiotics or hormones of any kind and they’re not eating corn or soybeans since we don’t grow those crops here on our farm. You can purchase their beautiful eggs at our farm store along with duck eggs from one of our neighbors, if you have a chicken egg allergy. Right now we also have goose eggs that our sweet gray goose Gertie is laying. They are perfect for crafting and Easter is just around the corner.
